Pierre Cardin

“I should have been a Venetian farmer”

Pierre Cardin needs no introduction or biographies. One of the outright protagonists of fashion in the seventies, he proposed futuristic glasses, true icons in the history of fashion. His glasses certainly lived up to the fame of his clothes and in the 60s and 70s, he imagined his creations as asymmetrical sculptures to adorn the face or as a transposition into celluloid of a personal, imaginary idea of the future world.
Pierre Cardin created his glasses as though they were almost waves of energy, flashes of colour across the eyes, a decade before the future trend for so-called “mask” glasses, as yet to come.
Because, as he stated in one of his final interviews, “The creations I prefer are those I invent for a life that doesn’t yet exist, for tomorrow’s world.”
When it is available, we provide Pierre Cardin vintage glasses with their own original case, except for those that have deteriorated over time.
